Right across the street from the Fox Theater and a roof top (no chlorine) pool. The room was as they said petite but nothing else was.

Second Time and Still Satisfied

This is the second time we stayed here. Both times we were given a huge apartment style suite with living room, kitchen area, hallway and bathroom and large closets. I agree with other reviewers that the hotel decor is a bit tired and the bathroom is small; but I found it clean, and had no problems. I think it was a good value for the price paid. The bed linens are now updated with white cotton sateen covered comforters and nice plump pillows. The ceiling fans add a nice option for a breeze at night. For location, it is across the street from the MARTA station, so no rental cars are needed if you are flying in and spending your time anywhere within the city limits. The front desk line can be slow, but maybe it is just the pace of the Southern lilfestyle. The ice water in the lobby is handy, and we caught a tray of complimentary warm chocoloate cookies one afternoon that were delicious. We have not eaten in the hotel, so I cannot comment on the restaurant. We would stay again, it is nice to have such a large space to stretch out in!

Horrible and just the opposite of luxury!

How this place got 4-Stars is beyond me. I stayed in their two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite which also had a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Although it was quite spacious, I prefer quality over quantity. The bathrooms were small and outdated. The shower curtains had mildew. They even placed me in a room with a view of the street, which of course came with noise, traffic, and sirens all night long. The service was horrible, as they said I could absolutely not check in before 3:00PM. Fine, but they then delayed my check-in until 3:40PM and offered no apologies. I got a phone call at 10:30PM from the hotel, asking me if there were any clothes left in the room. 10:30PM!!! What hotel does this and wouldn't it be their responsibility to check this during room service and the prepping of the room for the next guest? In the morning, I get an annoying tapping at the door at 8:30AM asking what time I am checking out. I thinking can't you just leave me alone? I have until 12:00PM. I cannot recommend this hotel for luxury, please avoid it. If you want a CHEAP suite, "CHEAP" service, and "CHEAP" quality then this is the place for you. P.S. I had to pay $22 a day for parking in the hotel parking garage. Unbelievably unacceptable hotel accommodations. One saving grace is that it is located immediately across from the theatre.

Made my reservation and received confirmation in January for 2 nights stay in August. Once I arrived, the wait to check in took 50 minutes. While in line I found out there were two wedding parties staying at the hotel and apparently they had overbooked and were turning people away. The girl in front of me was with one of the weddings and had made her reservation 3 days ago. She got a room. I was told that there was no room for me as they had overbooked the hotel. I explained to them that I had two young children and had driven several hours and that bumping me to another hotel was not acceptable. Lo and behold they gave me a room... with ONE bed for my wife, our 2 kids and me. When I went to complain they rolled up 2 cots. I had reserved a double with 2 queen beds and I get one bed and 2 cots! They still charged me the next morning when I went to check out and didn't offer an apology or discount. They knew days in advance that they were overbooked for Saturday and didn't bother contacting me even though they had my contact information and my confirmation that was emailed to me 7 1/2 months prior showed that if I didn't cancel within 24 hours of my arrival date they would charge me for a night's stay however when I did show up they tried to move me. It was happening to a bunch of folks other than me. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!

A lovely relaxing stay.......

So I was on business? Being totally pampered at the Georgian Terrace Hotel made me feel like a southern belle. I didn't have the chance to open the front door a single time. Everyone greeted me with a smile and a friendly greeting. The hotel had old charm, modern convenience and a well trained cordial staff that was staight out of Gone With the Wind. Southern hospitality at it's best! Business? My stay seemed more like a vacation. I walked each morning, had a fresh room with little extras waiting upon my return. Across from the Fox Theather I could have enjoyed a play -- but opted for the quiet and comfort of my room. The architecture of the hotel was exquisite -- the best of the bygone world and the comfort of every modern convenience. Top 10 in my book.
