This was my first time in Atlanta and I must say the the southern hospitality was great starting with the hotel. The rooms were absolutly breathtaking. I stayed on the 15th floor and the view was beautiful. Valet was a price but it was worth it. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would definately stay there again. The location was great, near all the food places and walking distance. The rooms were setup like a home, with a living and dining room and kitchen with a full size washer and dryer. It was wonderful. I just stayed there last weekend 06/19/09-06/21/09

The Georgians Terrace was under construction at the time we were there I was very worried when I readth the other reviews about how much noise there was but to my suprise it wasnt very loud we stay in a standard room on the fifteen floor its across from the fox theather and one block away from martha which we got around with all over the city it felt very good to know that when you order out someone from front desk come with the person who is bringing the food to you it felt very good that they look care of there guest so well my ten year old daughter love it whenever they would clean the room when we were out we would come back to fine her TEDDY sitting up in bed looking very happy its a beautiful place.

Very unpleasant

Had reservations for the weekend. I had made them one week in advance. I stood in the guest registration line for 45 minutes for them to tell me that they had OVER BOOKED for the weekend! They clearly had record of my reservation and still over booked. Not only did I think the line took entirely too long, they ran out of rooms from which I had reserved! Have never stayed here before and WILL NOT in the future!!

Stayed for two nights in the 2 bedroom suite in November 2008 for around $* per night. The room was one of the worst rooms I have ever been and I travel a lot. The suite it seems used to be an apartment in the 1970s or 80s and the kitchen was old and falling apart. The carpets had stains, the guest bathroom ceiling was full of mold and falling down. The living room ceiling had mold growing up the walls and the windows would not shut all the way and it was freezing outside. The TV was old and small, couch and furnishing very cheap. The view was not too bad but this room room should not have been a penny over $* per night. There are some nice rooms at this hotel but this was the most expensive one and was worst than a cheap apartment...beware! Also, if you have health problems because of mold stay away from this place. The location of the hotel is great and the lobby is nice.

Old world charm and comfort in the heart of Atlanta

My wife, adult son, and I stayed 3 nights, 4 days, beginning the day after Christmas. We have stayed before, and we were as pleased on this visit as we had been previously. The traditional Christmas decor, the elegance of the atrium, the cordial and attentive door staff, valets, and bellmen harken back to days when service was king. Location? Directly across the street from the grand old Fox Theater, many restaurants within easy walk, mere blocks from access to I-75 and I-85, close to Georgia Tech, the Varsity Restaurant, and a block from a MARTA entrance - no better location comes to mind. There is a great bar, a quiet restaurant, full room service, a rooftop workout facility, free wifi everywhere, and rooms available with full kitchens to accommodate longer stays. I love the place, and will stay there whenever we are in Atlanta.
