The desk clerk was behind a plexiglas window and the speaker system made it difficult to understand her. We went to our room and found that it was already occupied. Another arrival on our floor found that his cardkey would not work. This necessitated a trip back down to the first floor by both of us to correct our respective problems. I was rewarded by being given a room that fronted busy Sepulveda Avenue. No apologies were given. Room cleaniless was acceptable, but I have a real concern about the security and service offered by indifferent staff at the front desk.
