It certainly does not deserve the 4 star rating. We were right in the center of Chinatown & located on George Street, great location. My girlfriends & I were there for a wedding & stayed for 7 days 6 nights & overall the stay was very enjoyable, especially the Spa/Massage place located on the top floor, definitely a place to check out if you want a good solid massage (their specialty is the Royal Thai Massage). Our only complain was their lifts are slow & constantly being taken up by their housekeepers & was unfriendly, always talking & loud. You could always hear them around the building. One of my girlfriend was staying on the 12th floor & they got awaken by demolition work 7am one morning. Turned out the maintenance guy was taking the door out next door & they weren't informed of the work prior to it. Customers beware at check out, check out time is 11am & if you need to hang around until you leave the country, they DO NOT store you bags for you. My flight was at 2.40pm & my girlfriend was flying out at 6.10pm, we asked where we could store our bags at check out, the duty manager (Duncan) gave us an annoyed look & said to us "there's a self storage at basement" & left it at there. We made our way struggling with 4 bags between the 2 of us & realised its a pay your own luggage lockers costing $5 for medium bags & $6 for large bags. We questioned about the charges, they said its policy as they only have enough storage for arriving customers!! I can understand the charges if you are staying in a youth hostel!! But for a 4 star hotel? No way!
