Stayed 3 nights, would stay again. Clean room and hotel, great service, helpful and knowledgable staff, super breakfast, nice pool and hot tub. Difficult hotel to find because of all the roads around the Newark Airport. Thankfully the front desk staff knew all the roads and could direct us in over the phone.
Terrific accomadations

For the price I paid, I was very, very pleased with this hotel. I stayed in November 2007, and the property is only 4 years old. It is still very clean, very well kept, and very new. I can't say enough about the front desk staff. They were extremely helpful, and were patient with all of the questions and requests I had about getting around Newark and going to NYC. The shuttle service was very, very helpful. It will only take you to and from the airport, but if you don't have a car, and you're comfortable using the NJ transit system and the NY subway, you'll be fine because you can catch everything from the airport. The room was well appointed with modern decor. My only complaint was that the AC unit was a bit tricky to operate. Either you were very hot or very cold. It snowed the last night of my stay, but eventually I was able to manipulate the AC unit to get the room to a proper temperature. I would highly recommend this location to someone traveling alone. It was safe, well lit, and a lovely property. I would definitely stay their again.
Location, Price, Amenities Very Good.

One person at the front desk was very unprofessional (I had a bad experience with her over the phone while calling for the shuttle). I informed onsite manager once I arrived at hotel and he was very apologetic. I further informed him that I am a seasoned Marriott guest and had this been my first contact with a Marriott facilty, I definitely would never stay at another. This experience was not typical for a Marriott facility.
Shuttle to/from airport was huge factor. Public transportation to downtown Manhatten from airport very reasonable and convenient. Free internet access in lobby area very convenient. Pool was too crowded though. Many options for food delivery to front desk (they don't allow them to come upstairs). Would recommend to friends.
Awful service

Hotel required that we be ready at 5:55 am to catch shuttle, claiming that it took more than 45 minutes to travel 0.5 mile to airport -- refused to drive to terminal; instead leave at shuttle service tram station. Charge $20 for cab service of 0.5 mile. Would avoid hotel if at all possible.
