Simply Excellent

This is the best value I've ever gotten in a hotel especially relative to the location. Its located right on Lake Dillon, in the middle of everything but not too busy. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. My room had a quaint balcony; I think all the rooms have them. They offer a conveniently located ski locker for each room. I was there through the week and it was nice and quiet at night. After making my reservation through Travelocity I spent maybe 2 minutes in the office getting my key and having the details of the hotel explained to me by a professional and attentive employee. They list a kitchenette for each room; mine only had a fridge, but overall I was quite pleased. I highly recommend the Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge to anyone.

Epitome of American Standard

This is the way I remember Best Western Hotels. If they were all this perfect, I would use this chain more often. This hotel was extremely basic yet impeccably clean. (So clean, it looked like we were the first people to ever use the bathroom, which is what I like.) I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who has to do a less than four-star hotel for some reason. The location is unbeatable. It is right across from Dillon Reservoir, which you can?t beat. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel. Next to Lake Dillon. Outlet shopping close by. Beautiful Mountain Scenery.

Stay for the view not for comfort.

The proximity to Lake Dillon, marina, ampitheatre, walking/biking trail is great. The hotel front desk was extremely helpful but the hotel itself needs updating, has tissue paper thin walls and ceilings and uncomfortable beds. Stay here for the view not for comfort.

Nice but loud

The hotel rooms, location and hot tub are nice. The beds are comfortable. However, don't plan on getting much sleep as the walls are paper thin and you can hear and feel every door slamming (and they do slam). The bathroom and room overall was comfortable and clean. This could be a good place to stay if you plan on going to bed late and getting up early.
