My husband and I chose this hotel because it was less than a mile from Lackland Air Force Base and we were in town to see our son graduate from Basic Training. The room over all was comfortable. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The sink area of the bathroom was clean and open, but the closed portion contained a toilet and a very, very small shower only. This part was very cramped and the shower was not in very good repair, which surprised me because of the overall condition of the rest of the room. The air conditioner worked well and the rest of the room was recently remodeled.
The hotel staff were very friendly, outgoing and helpful. They knew a lot about the area and the evnets that take place on the base.
Breakfast was served in the lobby every morning, but it was very crowded no matter what time we went. It was very hard to find a table and things were cramped, but the staff kept everything clean and stocked well. They even had another breakfast station set up on the other side of the lobby to help with the crowd.
We were there Thurs. night to Sun. morning and graduations happen every weekend, so I assume that this is why the hotel was so busy. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again.

I found the staff to be very friend and knowledgeable about the area and the programs that dealt with Lackland Airforce Base. Clean rooms. Nice early morning light breakfast. If I was to stay in this area of San Antonio, TX. I would try and get rooms at La Quita Inns again. 5 star service in my book.

The room is really small, the beds are uncomfortable, and the bathroom is only a shower and tiny. The hotel staff didn't bring towels unless we threw the old ones on the floor.

Including taxes, I paid a crazy $* for this room. It's not the worst room I've stayed in, but it's by far the worst room I've spent so much money on. Location usually dictates price, but I don't understand why this was such prime real estate. Most of the businesses in the neighborhood are defunct and graffitti-covered. The double beds(!) were very low, and hard. The ac was lukewarm on high-cold. The bathroom, and the room in general was clean, but old. Pools looked nice, but we got back too late to use them. There was no info about the area in the rooms, which I usually depend on--even if they are paying to advertise.
