Went for King Tut

This hotel is perfect if you want to go to the Dallas Museum of Art! It's only a few blocks away & easy to walk to. The concierge (all of them) were very helpful in getting us to where we needed to go. The room was beautiful, clean & comfortable. It was quiet at night even with a large business conference going on. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

A very nice hotel with luxurious appointments. Because it is located adjacent to an indoor mall with inexpensive restaurants, it was an affordable place to stay inspite of a very pricey restaurant on the premises. They charge for wireless access which is often free in most less expensive hotels.

Never Stay in this Hotel

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for one night on 28-29 November 2008. We never slept all night long. There was a lot of noise from other rooms. It was 3:30 AM in the morning there were still laughing, screaming, talking noise. We called front desk to warn those noisy people (I think they were around 100 or more people) but couldn't get any result. Next morning as we were checking out I complaint about our terrible night to the manager on duty. She listened to me without any apology and said "Thank you". The manager was the most clueless hotel employee I have ever seen.

Loved the Ice Skating

We stayed at the Westin to be near a famioly member undergoing a medical procedure at Bayor Medical Center. The proximity to the hospital was great and the ice skaiting was a plus for our family. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and we truly enojyed our stay.

A DUD in Dallas...

We stayed at this hotel because in the description we saw that it was connected to shops and dining, it was four stars and it had heavenly beds, heavenly bathrooms and bath products along with Starbucks coffee in the rooms, free parking and a central location. Unfortunately 99% of the shops and restaurants were closed all weekend, the beds and rooms were far from heavenly, parking was far from free, the location was okay...but there was Starbucks in the room. The entire hotel needs updating in our opinion and is maybe a 3 star facility but definitely NOT a 4 star. If you expecting 4 stars we think you will be disappointed. Like I said the beds are far from heavenly, they were hard and lumpy. The rooms were noisy, you could hear every noise from both the hallways and the nearby rooms making it hard to sleep or even watch a TV show for that matter. The bathrooms were dingy and the tubs stained, we were supposed to get heavenly bath products and robes which consisted of one robe and once shampoo and conditioner for two people for the entire 3 night stay. The hotel did not replace dirty glasses or replenish coffee supplies or even remake the beds properly during maid service unless you asked. All-in-all we were not pleased with this hotel and doubt we would ever stay here again. Finally, I would like to say that the staff at the front desk as well as the bellman and valet parking attendants were both friendly and helpful but still not enough to make this a location to use again. This hotel would be better suited for a business traveler not for a special weekend away.
