The customers service is really bad. The rooms have a terrible smell. The parking lot is too far. They need to learn more about customer service and treat better all customers.

First Time in S.F.

I found the place really charming when I walked in...but my opinion sank pretty quickly with some kind of bugs flying around the lobby. The decor was a comfortable living room with fireplace, a bit on the sophisticated side. We checked in at 4pm., and our room was still not ready or clean. When we got to the room, I was rather disappointed...but now I realize that all the buildings are fairly old and the rooms have gone through some remodeling. It is an awesome location for walking to Union Square for shopping and dining. Loved my first time to S.F. - but not so sure about the hotel.

Our first room had an aweful smell. When we notified the staff they had another room for us within the hour. Our second room was very clean. Our room was cleaned daily. The doorman was always willing to help and very friendly.

This hotel has very mixed reviews, so I was hesitant to stay, but could not have been more pleased. The location is amazing for the price--1/2 block from Chinatown Gates and 1/2 block from Trolley stop.
Wine reception was an added bonus and the staff was great and helpful.
Be sure to request a tub if you need one. Also not sure about the little sign out front stating the property is known to contain cancer-causing chemicals? Forgot to ask about this, but I figured they would be shut down if it was a real hazard!
Will stay here again and recommend to people.

A fine choice for location and value

The Executive Inn Vintage Court in San Francisco turned out to be pretty nice, for a budget-priced hotel. The location was great, a few blocks from Union Square and from the entrance to Chinatown, and the amenities, though limited, were great. (Daily wine tastings in the lobby, fireplace in lobby, comfortable seating area in lobby, pleasant room accommodations, cleanliness, friendliness of staff). I could walk to many places or jump on the cable car to others. Others have complained, I see, and I believe that it depends on which room you get. My room was fine, but another guest of the hotel was telling me that he got a room with a poorly draining bathtub and a lot of street noise. You may want to call in advance and ask not to be on the Bush Street sie of the hotel, as that is the source of a lot of noise, especially at night with trash trucks and such coming and going. Cafe Mason, on Mason Street nearby, is a lovely place for breakfast.
