When you first walk into the hotel is was a surprise, the staff greeted us was friendly. When we got into our room we were shock the room was very small and compact and it had a odor during our whole stay. I had taken a scented candle there was nothing posted about using candles until Friday after we had been fined $* for my husband smoking and candle being on the night stand. There was nothing posted about the snacks in your room whether they were free or the cost until Saturday after I used the toothbrush in which I had forgotten mines and was charged $5.45 for that. If I had not planned our tours that hotel offered you nothing. Overall the trip was good for the things in which I had already planned ahead of time. The only good thing they did was to call for airport transportation that was there on time. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. If you are into wine and being confined to a small living arrangement then go for it. Make sure that you plan your tours ahead of time and have somethings to do because the hotel offer you nothing, the only good thing is that the location is accesible to Chinatown, Union Square, and the Cable car.

The staff was helpful and friendly. They booked our transportation to the airport and printed our boarding passes for us. We had pre-arranged our site seeing, but if you didn't, they will arrange site seeing tours too. The room was clean and confortable. It was are small, however, there is enough room in the closet to hang cloths, have one suit case stand in the closet and the other in the room, this was not a problem. The continental breakfast consisted of sweet rolls and muffins, coffee and tea, orange juice and fruit. This was great for grabing something quick. The evening wine tasting was nice and gave us a chance to visit with other guests and staff, and ask questions about places to go. GREAT location, 1/2 block from Powell Street cable car line which takes you two blocks from Fisherman's Wharf. Walking distance to lots of places, two blocks to Chinatown's main entrance, close to Union Square, BART and if you are a shopper - lot's of big name shopping. We used city transportation (cable car & bus) or walked and always felt safe. Close to restraunts, Roxanns on the corner of Bush & Powell serves a great breakfast, and a mini-mart close by if needed. We would stay here again and recommend it to our family and friends.
