Great View, Quiet Location

Some reviewers didn't like this hotel because it's outside the main part of Sedona. But for visitors like us who were more interested in visiting the nearby national parks (Montezuma Castle & Tuzigoot) and exploring the rugged beauty of the area (i.e., we were NOT there for wine tasting and boutiques), this was a perfect location. It's not as pricey or touristy as the main part of Sedona. And the view from our 2nd floor room was beautiful. The staff were very nice and helpful. And although the continental breakfast was pretty skimpy and the breakfast area was small...it was nice that they had lots of packaged foods (OJ containers, pastries, trail mix bars) to take away to eat in your room or on your explorations. We were also impressed to see that the pool was already up and running, even though it was still March.

Good motel for the price

Quiet, clean, nice views. good breakfast, but not many chairs. Good value for the money.

The lady in reception made our stay worthwhile.

This is a fairly plain motel about 15 minutes drive (spectacular scenery) from the centre of Sedona and I guess that is why it is a bit cheaper. The room was fine but the breakfast was very basic - just packaged fruit drink (not juice) and packaged muffins. We had a great time in Sedona thanks to the lady in reception at the motel. She went oout of her way to be helpful and gave us great information on all the surrounding attractions and shopping. This one person was the difference between another average motel and a very enjoyable experience.

Disappointed

The rooms were adequate, the pool and the hot tub were dirty. The staff was surly.

A bed

"It was bare essentials. We were kind of glad it wasn't comfy so we wouldn't want to stay there. The beds were hard as a rock and difficult to get comfortable on, and I like hard beds but these were rediculous. The view we had was the info center across the street. Won't be staying there again. Not for the money."
