Friendly Comforable Oasis

New owner couple went out of their way to assist. We arrived on the Ghan well before check-in time, but a clean room was immediately made available. They drove us back to the train a few days later. Room was large and clean and had all the amenities that you could expect. There was a new chef in the attached restuarant and we had two dinners there. The kangaroo was tender, tasty, and a good value. Other dishes were equally well-prepared. Our hosts and the entire staff were alert to our every need and well-prepared to answer our questions and to assist us when needed.
We stayed at many hotels all over Australia, but this was the best combination of service, a good quality large room, and excellent food. I would highly recommend Julie & Kel Martin's Elkira Motel in beautiful, sunny Alice Springs.
