We stayed at this hotel for 7 days and we were pleased with everything staff, room, location! The room was clean and had extras like a frig., coffee maker, hair dryer & iron. The breakfast was very good too! The location was great. Close to all the attractions we wanted to go to and the airport. We were very pleased with everything and would stay here again!
Will be returning here again

First time booking hotel sight unseen on the internet, but I was very pleased. I was travelling with my 3yo and 15 yo daughters for son's graduation from MCRD. All 3 of us were very pleased with the rooms cleanliness, the hotel staff we dealt with was always very pleasant and helpful (including mailing some letters for me that I had forgotten!) Breakfast was a bit of an adventure with a high school choir staying there the same time as us, but the staff was right on top of things making sure the room was kept clean and the food was quickly re-stocked. My son joined us after his graduation for the remaining 2 nights of our 4 night stay, and when I inquired about an additional fee, was promptly told there wouldn't be one!! What a nice graduation surprise for this Marine mom. This is definitely a hotel we will be returning to when in the San Diego area again.
Worth the price....

We had a great time staying at this La Quinta. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. It's always nice to have a refrigerator and a microwave in the room! Of course, there was no view, but the hotel is located so close to beaches and downtown we weren't in the hotel much anyway. We didn't use the pool or hottub (why? love the beaches!) but they looked nice enough and clean. And you absolutely cannot beat the breakfast buffet. They had almost everything you could want. This hotel was definitely worth the price. (Sorry! I rated the business center terrible only because I was unable to connect to the internet from the lobby computer. Even with help, it couldn't get to any websites without timing out. Not a big deal to us, but it could be to someone else. If it were important to me, I would have taken my lap top and taken advantage of the wireless access.)
A Very Nice Place To Stay

My fiance and I went to San Diego to enjoy a nice vacation for a week. I chose the La Quinta Hotel because of the good reviews it received on this website. When we got there, the staff was very friendly and offered us a room upgrade for a few dollars more a night which we took. The suite was very spacious and comfortable. Its not extremely luxurious, but it more than exceeded our expectations. The maids came everyday to tidy up the room and the pool and jacuzzi was very nice as well. The garage is underneath the hotel, so it is less prone to thefts. Also, it is in the heart of Mission Valley, so everything is less than a mile away (Target, movie theaters, shopping mall, numerous restaurants, etc.) I enjoyed my stay and would definitely choose this hotel again.

When we first checked in we were allowed to check in early. The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful. She gave us info on places to eat in the area and traveling directions to all of San Diego's family hot spots. We wouldn't have experienced the seals on La Jolla Beach if it weren't for her.
We had 3 adults and 2 young children (4 and 7) staying in a standard two bed room. The room fit us all. We were pleasantly surprised when the room came with a fridge, micro and coffee maker. The room was very clean was kept up that way for the 5 nights we stayed there. The cleaning staff was very friendly.
The pool and hot tub area was kept neat and the pool was clean and heated. The only thing about it was that it was small in comparison to the amount of people that were using it.
Location of this hotel was fantastic. Right off of I-8 and only a few minutes drive from the Zoo and Sea World. There was a mall/shopping center across the highway. We couldn't hear any traffic from our room. That was nice.
They offered a continental breakfast with hot and cold options. The food was always well stocked and the room it was served in was decent sized.
If we ever make it out to San Diego again we would definitely stay at La Quinta again.
