Great Hotel

This was a nice hotel. I was there for a convention. Great View of Mobile Bay and rather plush accomodations. However, the food from room service tasted awful, but the servers were extremely courteous. Another downside was that most of the servers were foreign, but I guess that comes with the service industry these days.

Stay there for lots of good reasons but make sure you get a load of the carpet on your 'deck'. The restaurant needs some work - the menu is rather ambitious for Mobile and the service needs work. There are too many other good places to eat in Mobile.
The Riverview Plaza

This used to be an Adams Mark, but I came at the end of a long renovation, and you might as well say it is a brand new hotel. Even though it was not yet a Renaissance (soon to be) it had everything that Marriotts should have. Great service, beautiful rooms, and the food was fantastic. This hotel looks out over the Mobile Bay and just sitting in my room was a vacation. Mobile is a city on the move and has a new energy. Downtown is coming around, but has about a year or two to have that quaint feeling. This hotel is centered with in one hour of other major sight seeing finds, so it was easy to see a great deal of the bay and gulf. Don't miss this new old find in Mobile.

Worst Hotel I've Stayed In Over the Last 2 Years

While front desk staff was very friendly, this hotel was a complete disaster. Many people in our group had problems with their reservations, elevators were out, management was unresponsive, and housekeeping quality was subpar. I travel fairly frequently and this hotel was a disappointment. We had to ride service elevators with dirty laundry.

I found the hotel staff to be very accommodating to my every need. Although the hotel is undergoing a renovation, I had a great experience. I was fortunate to placed in a renovated room. The mattress was plush and the room colors were bright and cheerful
