Good value for the money

the bathroom is very small but the room itself is of an average size. Great location and within walking distance to Copley Plaza (10 min). The subway system is adjacent to the hotel. Overall, it is a good value for the money.

Choose Somewhere Else

In a city with so many good choices, I got stuck here on a business trip. Paying over $300 per night to be in a room out of 1950 is crazy! They even had extension cords running around the room (the second I tried, the first having faced a brick wall) to connect lamps, etc.. This is 2007 and this hotel has NOT kept up. The staff was indifferent ... totally.

The hotel was great, the places to eat...

The hotel was great for it's location and age. The staff were professional and helpful. DO NOT EAT IN THE HOTEL. The food was so terrible. We woke up and had breakfast in lobby restraunt, the area was beautiful but the food was cold and the buffett was dirty. We spend almost $*for 2 people to have a breakfast and were very disappointed. To bad the food was not up to the same standards of the hotel.

Don't let the name fool you

This hotel has seen better days. If you don't mind air conditioning that couldn't make the room comfortable even on a mild day, aged rooms, and surly staff, then you could stand to use this hotel to take advantage of the great location. The doorman and the bell captain were rude. The cleaning staff repeatedly asked us if we were checking out, even though we had a couple of days to go. The cleaning staff even threw away some fresh fruit we had purchased along with other food items, while not really cleaning the bathroom very well. Also, when booking through online travel website had requested a non-smoking queen. Of course, when we checked in late in the evening we were told that's not what the hotel had for us, and they finally produced a very rough double for us at 11 p.m.
