Great staff, rooms

Quote: We were treated very well by the staff from minute one. We were upgraded to a garden room upon checkin and it was very, very nice. The weather was not the best but the whole experience was fantastic. We will be back.

elegant but expensive

Quote: Great hotel right on the beach in downtown Santa Barbara. The pool was huge and glorious and the service was also wonderful. Sometimes I had a hard to maneuvering, it's easy to get lost! They had a great bike place to rent bikes for the day and ride... Read the full Fess Parkers Doubletree Resort Santa Barbara review

This hotel is in a great location and beautiful grounds. I love being able to walk to the pier or downtown.

Quote: My wife, son and I stayed at the hotel for three days over a weekend in February. Check-in was easy, once we found the lobby, and the room was large and comfortable. Breakfast in the main lobby was excellent for a buffet, and we received breakfast... Read the full Fess Parkers Doubletree Resort Santa Barbara review

The doubletree is first, isolated....morning coffee or breakfast will be with... Read the full Fess Parkers Doubletree Resort Santa Barbara review

Way Overpriced

  • 3 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • February 7, 2011
Quote: We paid over $400 dollars a night to stay at the Doubletree. The hotel is in need of remodeling. There were no bath robes provided. For the money, I expected a lot more.

Past its prime.

Quote: Our room on the first floor was very dark. Fresh air could only enter through sliding glass doors to a patio; the doors couldn't be kept open because of security reasons. We had a leak in our ceiling right over one of the beds and had to be... Read the full Fess Parkers Doubletree Resort Santa Barbara review

This is a very nice hotel and right across the street from the ocean.

  • 5 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • February 3, 2011
Quote: I totally enjoyed my stay. The property is beautiful with a view of the ocean right in front of the hotel. You can walk to restaurants, shopping, or just sit on the beach. Parking was pricey but that's my only complaint.

Nice hotel, birds in the restaurant not so appealing

Quote: The rooms are great, overall it's a beautiful hotel. The birds flying around the restaurant area was a little disconcerting, especially around the buffet.
