Our Orlando Stay

  • August 24, 2007

This hotel was affordable and had the right accommodations. In the description there was mention of a hot tub, but when we got there, it was sealed over (there is an empty platform where it must have been). Overall though, it was more than we expected for the price. It was definitely one of the nicer places on International Drive. They do offer free shuttles to Universal Studios, which is literally less than 1 mile from the hotel. You may have to walk for a bit to eat. The pool is average and often is crowded during a nice day. The hotel is clean and the rooms offer a safe. We enjoyed our visit in Orlando!

Old Hotel

This hotel is in a bad part of town. The place was run down and I did not feel safe. The room was old and worn. We had a king size bed and it has small flat pillows that did not fit the decour of a bed that size. Also, there was no iron or ironing board in the room. I had to borrow one form the front desk and return it. This hotel is alright for one night but would not want to stay there longer. I will not return.

Rodeway Inn International

This was a wonderful hotel to stay at for my family vacation. It is perfectly located within minutes from the many attractions. It was easy for my family and I to get to Universal Studios, Sea World, and Wet 'n Wild, due to the FREE shuttle service provided by Rodeway Inn. We were also allowed to bring our dog to stay at the hotel, for a $10 charge per night, which was great!

The rooms were spacious and the staff were very accommodating and helpful with any questions that we had about the surrounding area and attractions. The dining options at this hotel were wonderful! We had the option of 3 places to dine at The Palm Dining room, Lite Bite, and Shogun Japanese Steakhouse. The Palm Dining room has an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet which was a great way to start the day off before we went to the amusement parks. My favorite restaurant was the Shogun Japanese Restaurant, because not only was the food amazing, but we were able to watch it be prepared right in front of us by the very talented chefs. I can't wait for my next trip to Orlando!
