You know, we have stayed in these "park resorts" before, but were never impressed and usually disappointed....CANT SAY THAT ABOUT THE ROYAL PACIFIC! Incrdible stay at a true 4 star resort. To start we arrived at the resort 4 hours before check in because we had an early flight....figured worst case senerio we could leave our luggage at the resort and go play, but much to our surprise, as we were checking in our very courtious receptionest announced "I have good news....your room is ready!" On to the pool....beautiful....our boys had a great time and the activities staff have childrens pool activities at different times throughout the day. Ok now lets talk about the food and drinks....yes you have read in previous reviews that its pricey and it is...BUT....the food is wonderful and if you have a weakness for exceptional mixed drinks....this is the place. Oh and Emerils was fabulous! On top of all these great services you get the express PASS built right into your room key card for the Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios which allows you to skip the regular LONG lines and get virtually right on all the rides. The longest we waited was about 15 minutes on a ride that had a wait time of 90 minutes in the regular line. I cait say enough about the water taxi either, which is also a perk of staying at this resort. WE LOVED ROYAL PACIFIC AND WE WILL RETURN TIME AND TIME AGAIN!

We enjoyed the location of the Hotel, but the prices for dinning and parking was a bit to much. We could not even get a way with using the Continential Breakfast as a fast and cheap way of eating at the Hotel. They charge you by each item you want. We bought 2 small juices and 2 small coffee's, thinking that we were safe, nope it came to $14.00. We ended up leaving the location for meals and that took time away from the fun. I am not sure I understand charging your guest for the parking, $14.91 a day, OUCH. For the price of the rooms and standards, I was very disappointed. The food, drinks and entertainment was very expensive for guest staying at your hotel. There was a game room for the children, but it was never opened. Even though we got the express passes, they did not make up for the other cost and problems that we had.
Also, we had the do not disturb sign on our door while out swimming and we came back they had put the sign on the inside of the door and cleaned the room. I was not happy with that at all!!
We will not stay at this hotel again.

The best thing about the hotel is the room key can be used as a Express Pass for the parks - it saved so much time the in lines. Also the valet parking customer services guys were great! Having to pay so much for the rooms and then parking on top of that was crazy! Also every restaurants and bar service was very slow and due to the built in 22% tip - they did not care. Most of the time we had to walk up to the bar to get someones attention. The bath towels were worn out with a big crack in the bathroom sink with a slow drain. The bath tub is worn out with stains. House Keeping comes anytime between 8 am and 5 pm with half the days we had to call to have them come. One time we called to Room Services, they lost our order. The remote to the TV and the cordless phone did not work. Coffee maker in the room was nice along with the bed was confortable. Next time we are going to try the Hard Rock or the other on site hotel but will pass on this one.

I came here on a business trip after staying at Hard Rock. The vibe is totally different. the staff and all the guests complain. But the rooms and food are great! unbelievable. The Lo-oh they have is awesome. totally a hawiian vibe. The thing i was sad about is the pool. a pool where a lifeguard cant see the whole pool is only covered by 1 lifeguard. and the PLANE that is in all the pictures was on the shore upside down. Overall a c-. Would only recommend if you can take long walks like 30 minute walks to the parks and city walk and the sound of complaining parents and guest and even staff. also alot of crying babies. Maybe stay at different hotel but come here for dinner!
So Surprised!

My boyfriend and I wanted a quick get-away and decided to visit friends in Orlando. We stayed at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal - and didn't know what to expect, what do you really get in the middle of a theme park??
The resort, which it is – not just a “hotelâ€, was beautiful. I had the feeling that I was not in the middle of Orlando or a park, but surprised at the serene surroundings of the grounds. The rooms are exceptional, the Sushi bar is fabulous! And breakfast at the Island Grill was great! The boat taxi to City Walk was a nice surprise also, for us it was romantic. I highly recommend this resort as a must go to spot, we will be back!
