Description: This La Quinta Inn and Suites is clustered together with a Marriott Courtyard and a Microtel Inn in a
corporate-concentrated section of town. With all the signature features of the La Quinta chain including the Spanish style exterior, this hotel has a large, two story lobby with lots of small tables and chairs scattered about. Each morning the hotel's guests may eat a complimentary breakfast in these comfortable surroundings. If the weather is nice, take a step out into the courtyard and sip a cup of coffee in the shade of a large gazebo. Or go a few steps further and you'll find a kidney-shaped swimming pool and a small Jacuzzi. Once back in your room you'll have all the basic La Quinta comforts so you can enjoy your stay at a decent rate.
Area Notes:
I drove from the La Quinta to the nearest MARTA station just to see how plausible it would be to take a train to the hotel from the airport. MARTA is located just a little over a half mile down the road. If all you had to carry was an overnight bag or computer case, it wouldn't be a terrible walk. There are sidewalks after all. With that said, the streets here are very busy. I wouldn't advise navigating them on foot at night or if you don't know where you're going. If you don't rent a car, you can still use this MARTA station to your advantage. Ask the front desk about their complimentary van service which drives guests within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. This van could take you to the MARTA stop, which would then put a lot of Atlanta within your reach for the low price of a token. If you don't want to wander far, the Perimeter Mall is close as are several restaurants.
