This is a great value for the dollar paid, great location, Metro, Airport and Old Town King St shuttle. 15 min from the White House in DC VA Free Shuttle to National Airport, then $1.54 metro ride. Close to DC but in Old Town will stay here again. New Menu in Restuarant Bistro On First great Food!!!

The setting in Old Town Alexandria was very nice. The hotel was outstanding for the money. No real complaints at all. I didn't eat at the hotel since there are so many great places nearby. The swimming pool was small and the lifeguard treated my kids like they were interrupting her reading time, but we just had a good laugh and enjoyed ourselves anyway.
Decent but get free breakfast to increase value

Location is good. Only 9 blocks from Old Town Alexandria and shuttle every half hour to airport for Metro. Very convenient. Parking is high but lower than most hotels in area. 15.00 a day. Can park on street if find a spot. Used indoor pool, small but not many pools in area have inddor pool. Had fun. Hours not long enough. On Sunday after 7 PM, had to walk to Sheraton Old Town two blocks away for pool but had fun anyway. Shuttle to Old Town for sight seeing, tours, and food every half hour during certain hours. Worth the trip. Old Town was unexpected surprise. A lovely adddition to vacation. Will stay in Old Town again. Downside, larger SUVS can't park in garage, park in lot outside. Breakfast buffet very good. Get $20.00 day per room breakfast for free value online if possible. It cost an extra dollar or two per day for this value. Worth it! All three of us ate free as children under 12 eat free. Food great value this way. Ate dinner in Old Town all three nights. Metro to DC easy, most museums in DC are free. Great vacation, but bring walking shoes. Lots of walking in DC. Room decent size, average, but much much more for money than in New York. Front desk helpful and polite. FYI. When at hotels we don't like room cleaned somedays, we just exchange towels with maid and tell the maid who cleans YOUR room. not to clean it. If Spanish, "NO SERVICE" We've done this all over the country hundreds of times. Never deal with issues through other channels if don't have to. We've never ever had a problem doing it htis way. Maids usually happy when you tell them. Would stay again especially with free breakfast

Hotel parking expensive and surprising, pool closed but not noted until after we checked in, restaurant service slow and surly. Front desk, housekeeping and front area people warm and gracious. They saved the visit!

2 double beds in our room to small for 4 of us. Carpet dirty. Pool small but with lifeguard. Website stated parking only 10.00 when it was 12.00. Poor directions on website. Transportation shuttle made to sound better than it was on website.
