Found my new favorite NO hotel

This was our first visit back to New Orleans since Katrina and had a few days we could get away from work. It was great from the moment we drove into the parking garage. We had a room with a balcony, which made the room seem larger. It was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was a little snug, but the bathrobe and wonderful shower made up for that. We visited the pool area and although the bar was open, the variety of drinks were limited. The view from the roof is breathtaking. The bar downstairs was very nice. You can sit and watch the people walking around. The waitress we had there was very helpful with travel tips. The hotel is in walking distance of all of the hot spots and we didn't need to get our car until we left the city.
The entire trip was very special and one I will never forget. Especially since the fire alarm went off at 4 in the morning and all had to evacuate the hotel--we were back in the room by 5:30am and they allowed us a late checkout. I will certainly be back to the Omni Royal Orleans

This was the first time my boyfriend and I had come to New Orleans together. This hotel is the best. Great staff, room service, hospitality, etc...We had a terrific time and we are coming back soon. We were there a few months before Katrina and we were very concerned about the staff and residents there. We kept in touch and were relieved to know that all are safe. We recommend this hotel to everybody. See ya'll soon!!

This is the only Hotel we stay at when we come to New Orleans. We have been here now 4 times. We were the last weekend people to party -hardy on Bourban St. before Katrina. Looking forward to another group outing. If only we had known. I only hope our Doorman made it okay (love you X).

We stayed here on the way home from our cross country trip. We didnt want to be on bourbon street but close enough to walk to it and feel safe. The concierge suggested Emeril's restaurant NOLA which is just down the street and it was fabulous. We walked to Bourbon street and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are small but we were only there to sleep so it didnt matter.

As a former New Orleans resident, I've never actually had the need to stay at a hotel. However, I really enjoyed the Royal Omni Orleans. The hotel is beautiful and the location is excellent. I thought the parking fees were a bit high.
