The Max?

We arrived at 5pm and our room was not ready...however, the staff was very friendly and would bend over backward to accommodate our every need. The rooms were very small and it was hard for two people to maneuver around in. The bed was the most comfortable bed in the WORLD...seriously, it was hard to talk myself into getting up in the morning :)

Very nice accomodations but don't get a room next to the elevator shaft! Banging and klanging all night long. The wife found the shower to be a bit claustraphobic, we have a bigger shower in our camper. Nice amenities, clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Very nice for an older art deco hotel.

Great Boutique Hotel - even better staff!!!

We stayed at the Max with a recommendation from a client we work with. We came with a FULL car of garmet bags and rolling racks The people at the front desk...were welcoming and organized and made everything so easy. The next day, eventhough .. took over and was just as helpful and sweet. The hotel is clean, the beds so comfortable, the staff amazing and the Red Tin restaurant was delicious. Right in the heart of town - easy to walk to places and their valet service was super easy with in and out convenience.

Not a bad hotel but absolutely not worth the price per night. The elevators are tiny (terrible for clostrophobia), the rooms are tiny and the bathrooms in the rooms are the size of airplane bathrooms but with a shower (also terrible for clostrophobia). The location is great for a Seattle visit, the hotel is vibrantly colored, the business center was cool and the bed was comfortable. However, there are other 3 and 4 star hotels in the vicinity are a better value and offer rooms that you can actually move in. Parking at the hotel is a whopping $30/night!!! But downtown Seattle has a lot of parking, I found a pay-to-park lot across the street from the hotel $10 for 24hrs and you can come and go during those 24hrs.

Nice hotel..!

It's a clean, comfortable hotel with interesting surroundings, and amenities that you actually might want when traveling, like a 24 hour place to eat a block away and check service for your luggage after checkout. The artwork it's famous for is funky and fun, if not life-changing, and the rooms are very functional, if a little small. The beds are comfortable, the linens are decent and the service was great (inlcuding bellhops that actually earn their tips). Close to downtown and pike place don't hurt, either. For $*** for a king room it was well worth it.
