Found a good deal on a late winter weekend rates off their website where they often have promotional packages. The accommodations were clean and adequate -- the on-site innkeepers appear to be making upgrades and renovations to the property. Typical motor lodge set-up but there are a few "cabins" to accomodate larger parties. The queen-size bed room was equipped with a small fridge, microwave and coffee pot.
10 minute walk to Main Street restaurants, about a 15 minute bike ride along Maddox Blvd to the bridge to Assateague. In summer, Maddox is traffic laden, as it is the only road to the park.
Bottom line: This is an okay inexpensive place to stay for a wkd winter/fall visit -- somewhere to rest your head. I couldn't imagine staying there longer than a wkd or in the summer because the quarters were cramped -- even for two people.
