We spent a great deal of time researching hotels and reading reviews before deciding to stay at this Hampton Inn. Our family (2 adults and 2 children) visited Cedar Point and the African Safari.
Check-in was the quickest that I have ever experienced. Gavin was very polite and made us feel welcome.
The room is basic, but decorated tastefully. The beds are very comfortable. The room was stocked with plenty of towels, an extra blanket, and more than enough pillows.
The hotel was so quiet, that you would think that you had the place to yourself (in our case, the hotel was full). There were no maintenance problems and no elevator delays.
The breakfast buffet provided plenty of choices for our family. Every day, there were two hot foods to go along with the cereals, donuts, muffins, bagels, etc. The hostess(es) could not have been nicer! They were constantly refilling the food supplies and cleaning up after the guests. The food was displayed beautifully and was always covered to maintain freshness - and a sanitary enviornment. The beverage service (coffee, teas, cocoa, and juice) is available 24 hrs per day.
The pool is very nice and warm enough to enjoy. Our only complaint is that the jets in the hot tub were not working correctly. We were still able to utilize the hot tub though so it wasn't a total waste.
The location is perfect! It is just down the road from Cedar Point. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. If you forgot something, Meijers is open 24 hours per day and they are just down the road.
We would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler. As a matter of fact, we can't wait to go back!
