Adequte room, cleaniness, service, etc., good location proximate to interstate and metrorail to DC and above average value for the money.
Nothing memorable

We stayed for three nights. The room was okay, and even though it was reserved as "non-smoking" the room had the distinct smell of stale cigarette smoke - or even stale locker room. The A/C was loud and blew right at the side of one of the two beds - and was not adjustable. The breakfast was limited to cereal, toast, English muffins, and waffles - not very well stocked and no fruit of any kind. Seating area is too small and not well kept by staff.
Overall, the place was okay, but only just. As a place from which to get into the city, the location was pretty good, but there isn't much beyond price and location to recommend this place.

The room was very clean and suited us fine. Front desk was okay, but not overly friendly. We went during spring break, there were some large groups there, but we never heard any noise at night. The continental breakfast was not that impressive, but we did partake of it and it was enough to get by until lunch. Staff tried to keep up on making sure the bar was kept clean and stocked. Unfortunately the seating area was not that clean because the travelers did not wipe off the table after they were done.

We stayed at Days Inn for sight seeing in DC. There were lots of school kids there for a trip so there was a noticiable amout of noise there when we stayed. Lots of close dinning options which is great considering a hot dog in the city goes for $4.00. There pool is large and they have a comp. breakfast with fruit and hot waffles too.

Days Inn Alexandria is an adequate hotel at a reasonable price. Facilities are reasonably clean and maintained. Staff was supportive.
