Take notes...

I had stayed at Embassy Suites in D.C. that were very comfortable and thought that the one in El Paso would meet the same expectations. It does not I had requested 2 room adjacent to each other because my 82 yr old mother was traveling with us. After arriving at hotel, we were informed that they did not have to two adjoining suites. Hotel staff were polite and agreed to try and find locate two adjoining suites. This did not materialize. The facility itself is showing its age and not very well maintained. It is right next to freeway and traffic noise kept us awake most of the night. Rooms have plastic pane windows rather than glass which does insulate sounds very well. Carpets are dirty and do not appear as if they have been deep cleaned to get rid of musky odors. This marks first and last time I stay at this hotel. For travels visiting El Paso, I would recommend the hotels in Sunland Park just a few miles accross the border in New Mexico. This is newer are with new hotels, nice restaurants, and shopping centers.

Not quite an Embassy Suites

Property a bit dated. Sliding door in bedroom needs replaced. It is held closed by RTV. Funiture good in the suite but mattress not quite up to Hilton Standards. Complaints about the atrium magnifying sound are quite true. Smoking room smells like a burnt room. The property is showing some signs of wear. The walls in the atrium need cleaned many years of dust accumulation on the stucco. However, the managers reception and breakfast are excellent. I can justify the weekend rate of $ but I can not quite justify the expensive week day rate. Moving out for the week.

Really bad for Embassy Suites

Embassy Suites are usually pretty good hotels, but this one is the exception. All of the facilities are pretty dated and worn. The rooms haven't been updated since the early 1980s and smell every bit of it. Not a good value for the money.

The cooked to order breakfast and manager's reception are excellent. Unfortunately 2 of the 4 elevators were out of service which made for long waits. There were no towels in our room on arrival and it took quite a while to get some delivered. We ended up getting towels from the pool so we could shower before meeting friends for dinner. A nice place but the service just wasn't up to their usual standards this time.

pass on this place

the rooms are old and run down. The doors are glass and ours had 1 plastic window as if someone tried to enter and it was repaired. There is a sink in the bed room. The place needs a face lift.We would not recommend.
