The hotel was on the DART line (just as indicated in their description), which we were looking for since we traveled to Dallas via AMTRAK. We had planned to get around via DART while in Dallast, but the friendly shuttle staff at the hotel took us-then picked us up both days of our stay. Everyone - Front Desk, Housekeeping, were friendly, and The Sleep by Number Beds were great. Everything was clean and neat, and no hint of smoke anywhere!!!

The room was clean and nice but, very small, similar to a walk-in closet. The bed was not comfortable and for some reason there is a $25 dollar charge on my credit card. In their defense, I have not yet called to see what the charge is for. Probably wouldn't stay again unless it was a larger room.
Fair price, ok room

The hotel service was good, the bed was very comfortable, and, for the price, it was good place to stay. This hotel is probably due for a top-to-bottom update: the room was functional, but a bit dated, my a/c system seemed to be either full on, or off, and the bathroom is due for some upgrades. If you need to be close to SMU for some event, you can't beat the proximity, and, while this isn't a luxury hotel, it should serve the mid-level or business traveler just fine.
NEVER AGAIN!

The first night there (after a 9 hour drive) the air wouldn't work in the room so we had to switch rooms. Our new room looked clean but smelled AWFUL! I had to go buy my own freshner.
The same night, I was too tired to go out to eat so I decided to try the hotel restaurant. The dessert I saw on the menu that I wanted was cheesecake deepfried and rolled in sugar. The server brought me a regular piece of cheesecake and told me that they didn't have anything like that. So I showed him the menu and he brought the dessert back to me. I took a bite and almost choked...it was rolled in SALT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The heater on teh pool was broken so the water was too cold to even get in.
It was one problem after another...I will NOT stay at that hotel again.

I used "X" so check-in consisted of showing up with some ID. They had a room on the first floor but switched it to the 6th floor because they said most guests preferred staying off the first floor for some reason. Front desk staff appeared aloof but they were helpful in that they called the room after check-in to confirm my comfort and politely told me how to get to the pool later on.
I was surprised with Wi-Fi as they only seemed to have a dataport for Internet use. Internet was free and fast with only minor hiccups when using Wi-Fi. The room was terrific, very nice colors, high-quality bed covers (Sleep Number system), bathroom was clean and well laid-out. The pool was indoor/outdoor and I had it all to myself Sunday morning, set in the shade of the building making for a great start of the day. They had an good-looking bar in the lobby that I didn't try with TV and some draught beers to choose from.
Located by highway 75 in Dallas, it's convenient for any drive into or out of the city. Security was very good in the lobby, not sure if parking was monitored or not and I had no mishap.
