Front desk was friendly and mostly helpful.(the guys). The girls were mostly indifferent. Waitress was unfriendly and rude. Hotel itself is in a bad neighborhood. There is no pool. Surrounding buildings are falling down but they have been air-brushed out of the ad. No water pressure, bathtub wouldnt drain. Fixtures are old. Carpet is fraying and old, smells moldy. Restaurant is completely closed on Sundays have to take taxi elswhere. No local restaurants you would actually want to go into. No fitness center. Owners are nasty and rude and made anti-american remarks. Said they had a "smoking deck" but door was locked. Overall bad experience.

Stayed there now 4 times. Each time was fine. Breakfast no great shakes, but no charge, so why complain. Free computer access. Service polite. Room clean. Fridge and microwave were a plus. Location good, good value. Area has to be rehabilitated and hotel needs a face lift. Of course, if that happened, the daily rate would have to go up!

The parking was very difficult, they parked my car one night via valet service, but the next day could not find my keys. The breakfast was not free. It was $5, but it was scanty for $5.00.The staff people were mostly indifferent or rude. I.E. when they could not find my car keys, there was no apology. There was no attempt to open breakfast on time, it was more or less when the employee showed up.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. An internet connected computer is available for us. They recommended two great sightseeing trips. Free breakfast was adequate. Our room had a microwave and refrigerator, but no utensils. The entire Miramar neighborhood is undergoing rehabilitation, but the character of the area is being preserved - looks old on the outside, but redone on the inside. Charming clean, well maintained hotel which gave more of the flavor of Puerto Rico, in contrast to the chain hotels which are the same everywhere.
