This was my 1st trip to Florida so I really did not know what to expect. Overall, I had no real issues with the hotel. The room was cool, plenty of parking, location was great to all the parks and eateries, and the cost was more than fair. The pool hours were great and the pool area is very nice.
The only thing I would have liked would have been a complimentary computer station just to check up on things instead of paying * for 15minutes at the store next door. Overall, it was a nice place to crash and if I do go back I would stay again.

Booked my stay with Hojo.com - reserved "poolside room" - when checking in said they didnt have any available, and I wasnt alone - 2 other people were upset because they also booked a poolside room. Rude clerk said that I didnt reserve a poolside room, so I showed her the print out from the website that specified poolside and she just said "we dont have any left" so I then asked for the lower rate for a non poolside room, she said they were the same rate, so again I showed her the printout showing the lower rate for same room "not poolside" and she gave in and gave me the lower rate. Dont know if clerk was having bad day or what. As for the room I got (not poolside) I must have gotten the room that other reviewers have written about, door was falling off hinge - had to lift door up by handle to open and close, but over all not to bad - was larger than most rooms of this type, even had a kitchenette with stove, sink, microwave and all the dishes and cookware, but I was on vacation and wasnt going to cook! So if you book online - make copies of what you booked. OVERALL A GOOD VALUE

We were very pleased to receive the adjoining rooms we asked for. The rooms were off the main drag so it was quiet, you didn't hear any traffic. Cleaning staff was friendly and did a good job. No bugs and the rooms were clean. Most of the vending machines didn't work, and the store was closed at night so when you returned from the parks, it was hard to get bottles of water and such. That was somewhat annoying.
Location was great, walking distance to Ihop, Golden Corral, Shoney's and Waffle House.
A nice hotel for the price.

Well this has been my second time staying in the Howie. The hotel is not 5 stars but the deal is great. The location is perfect not too far from disney and local resturants. The lynx bus is right out front and you can ask for much more. The rooms are clean and the staff service is great. The only problems I had was for the first two nights my TV was not working. Besides that everything was as expected for the price.
