The Place to Stay in Central Bismarck!

I've stayed here several times, and the location is perfect, walking distance to the Civic Center, Downtown, and Restaurants/Bars. Two hospitals across the street. If location is important you don't want one of the hotels out on the interstate.
If you're lucky you will get a sleep number bed, there's a free shuttle service, even a bowl of fruit at the front desk. They ask if you want to put a credit card on your room for incidentals, they don't demand it.
Hotel is a little older, but clean, with friendly staff. Free parking.
Bad Location, some rooms tiny

I stayed her a month month ago, the location is bad due to proximity of train tracks and loud whistles blowing throughout the night. My room was tiny, no room move was offered, (they told me later there were 4 bad rooms in the hotel and I lost the lottery that night), there were no sheets on my bed and the desk staff did not seem to care, it was onlty the night porter who found a pair of sheets for me. I checked out early went to the Hampton Inn, infinately superior. Strong recommendation do not stay at this hotel. I have posted this previously and travelocity chose not to post it, shame on them!

Room is tiny and lots of outside and inside noise
Bed did not have a top sheet, staff seemed surprised I wanted one.
Don't stay here

Wonderful place to stay as far as staff, cleanliness, comfort. The hotel is way too close to the train tracks and you can hear the trains alllllllllllllllll night long blowing their horns. Not sure if the windows are double paned but I did not sleep at all because I am not from the mid west so I am not used to the constant noise. The trains stopped running in my hometown 20 years ago.

Travel agency was very disappointing to work with. Had major problems at check in and will never stay again if the same person is working at that time
