Newly Remodeled

I am writing this review as I am in my hotel room.
I waited too late to book a hotel room for my daughter's graduation from TT, and this was the only Hotel available in a reasonable price range. Despite the poor reviews I went ahead and booked the room thinking it was only for one night.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel has recently underwent remodeling. The room was clean and comfortable, and my parents who stayed in the next room found theirs the same way. The room appeared to have been completely redone lately, and there are some signs through out the hotel that they are still doing some finishing work in some of the meeting rooms.
My only small complaint is that the noise from the newly tiled atrium and indoor pool area was a little bothersome at 9:30 PM, and the light switches needed a little scrubbing. Other than those two small items, I was very satisfied.
I would intentionally seek out this hotel again for my next stay in Lubbock.

The stafff was very friendly and courteous, but the room. The baseboards were very dirty and looked like housekeeping didn't vaccum. Plus we ask for a wake up call for 3am, never rec'ed. Disappointing. There are other hotels in the area, stay there.

Enclosed areas were like walking through an oven. Extremely hot and smelly. Pool was green. In need of repair and upkeep. Rooms were clean and cool. This hotel does not make a good first impression, if you can get past the atrium and into the room it is okay.
