Sketchy to say the least!

I have never stayed in a place where there was a sign on the counter that stated no refunds after 15 minutes (I wish I would have taken a photo with my phone). I was put in a smoking room and after trying for two days, they would not allow me to change -- stating it was full even though the parking lot was relatively empty. The room had a horrible smell, bed sheets/blankets were stained (I slept in my clothing), the bathroom was filthy, there were wrappers on the floor by the bed (yup, a condom wrapper), the towel rack fell out of the wall when I took the towel off; the TV had a rainbow of colors on the picture; the overall experience was not satisfying. Overall, a wrecking ball would be in order for the complex. The online photos are OLD! I changed my ticket to leave a day early and went home; I couldn't face another day! I cannot believe Days Inn would allow this place to be a part of their franchise!

Yes, the hotel is a bit run down, yes it could use a major renovation but for the price and location - you can't beat it! Walking distance to nightlife and restaurants and close to the light rail. If you are in town for a few days and just need a place to crash - this is great. If you are looking to relax in a nice, comfortable, luxurious room - this is not it.
The staff was great - everyone was so nice!

Great location but horrible hotel. Very dingy and old. Our towel rack kept falling off the wall so was the toilet paper holder in the bathroom. There was hair in the bathtub. They give you an iron but no ironing board. Def need to update the bedding very itchy. Staff was very friendly and helpful though. I suggest you only stay here if it is your last resort.

The hotel was very old and not clean. The wallpaper was stripping and the room wasn't well kept. The location is excellent. You can walk to a lot that Charlotte has to offer. We were only there passing through on our way to a further destination. We walked down the street about 1/10 of a mile to have a drink or two and felt relatively safe. The hotel attendant was helpful in giving us directions to several bars/nightclubs. The bed was ok... new linens would have been nice. Parking is $6.00 more and you can park directly in front of your room in most cases. It seems odd to have to pay extra to park in THEIR parking lot (the pool is in the same parking lot). Overall, the hotel is dirty and needs improvement but it is 1/2 the price of every other hotel in the uptown region of Charlotte. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget (or just don't like spending $150/night on a hotel) and need a place to stay 1 or 2 nights but nothing more. I would have hated staying here more than one more night. Happy Travels!

Well, the room was not nice in decor & they ran out of extra towels the first night. Had to wait until next day for more towels. The noise level was awful due to being across street from the Fire Station. Also, personal things were disturbed by housekeeping while we were out. We WILL NOT be staying there again!
