Amazing Hotel!!

Awesome hotel! We stayed here for a seminar and loved it. The rooms were spacious and clean and had a computer with free internet access. We were charged the daily room fee, but I knew that from the reviews. The hotel was huge with an amazing atrium. The boat restaurant had a cool atmosphere, but the food was poor and the buffet was okay, but very pricey, The sushi restaurant also had a good atmosphere, be we didn't eat there. We ended up getting Pizza Hut delivery one night and stored the leftovers in the mini-fridge. The only negative is that the hotel is in the middle of no-where, we didn't have a car so had to walk about 1 mile to the grocery store and other restaurants. Would stay here again!

Gaylord is the BEST!

I've stayed at the Gaylord 3 times this year! The accodmidations are fabulous! The largest indoor atrium I've ever seen, and yes, the trees plants and flowers are real! better than any disney resort and half the price! Real koi fish swimming in the waterfall ponds, real gators and turtles, and even a snake lodge! The SS Gaylord, ship/resturant on water is outstanding! Look closely in the water and you'll find small sting rays! The pools were wonderful, and the adult hot tubs were even better. The food there is never ending, 5 resturants, yes, a bit over priced but worth every penny! During the Holiday season they had a choir singing on a stage below the GIANT Christmas Tree starting at noon, which was our wake up and get ready music Everyone gets there very own computer with internet in their room, mable counter tops and consider it done service will bring you anything you need at any time day or night. The spa, pools and fitness center are all fantastic. If your bringing a car valet is $20 a day and self parking is $10. We wouldve self parked but we couldnt find the self parking lot... and the front desk charged more taxes then they were supposed to, but I double checked the bill and they fixed it for me -no questions asked. If you want to go to Disney, there is a free shuttle, but Universal will cost you- unless you drive, of course. The is a Hertz car rental on site, but make sure you reserve one way in advance before comming. And if you want liquor and dont want to drink at any of the4 bars- buy it outside before you come. There are better rates through disney dreams unlimited travel.

Worth every penny

I have stayed here multiple times. It is a great getaway. One of the best things about this hotel is once you're there you dont have to leave. There is so much to do and explore. The atrium is gorgeous so if the weather is bad you can stay in and explore. The restaurants can be pricey but you get what you pay for everything we had was wonderful. The sunday brunch was to die for. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous each time we had a room with a balcony over looking the atrium. I feel that if I were to stay again I would only get a room with a balcony as it allows you to fully experience this hotel. I was displeased with the piano bar the service there was awful and the piano players seemed quite inexperienced. They barely knew the songs requested. I would recommend going to citywalk for their dueling piano bar. That was our only disappointment. You do have to pay for parking but most hotels have a parking fee and it is clearly stated before you make a reservation.

gorgeously "nickled & dimed"

The hotel is beautiful and to explore all the grounds (mostly indoors) takes over an hour. You must be reasonably fit, as there is a far distance to travel from the lobby to the elevators. You will literally need to navigate with a provided hotel map. The room was very quiet, clean, and well-appointed. My complaint is that the "resort fee" included room internet which never worked, daily newspaper which was delivered 50% of the time, and 2 bottles of water. Since only the water could be relied upon, we paid $15/day for this amenity. The Mediterranean restaurant has the most delicious buffet I've had in my life but is too expensive to be more than a once-in-the-vacation splurge. Aside from one poolside cafe, you have no other reasonably priced hotel food options. We did not rent a car (thank goodness - I think there is an additional fee for this) so were at the mercy of hotel of Disney food. The Disney shuttle was somewhat infrequent in scheduling (pickups about 6 times a day), but it worked for us. The ride to Disney took about 15 mins. I thought the hotel was wonderful for a romantic getaway, but be prepared for sticker-shock.

the atriumm was very beautiful with several options for pricey meals. Free entertainment was featured every day . The shuttle to Walt Disney was prompt and helpful. I would consider staying there again if I got the same super prices I got from online travel website.
