the hotel is terrific. it's very old but very well maintained with all new furniture, carpets, drapes and tv's. don't hesitate as i've stayed in other boston hotels and this one is the best night's sleep for the money.

The Parker Hotel was home to several famous guest, including Charles Dickens. Even if you are not famous, you might want to stay here. You can walk to the Common, to downtown crossing, and even to Fanueil Hall with no problem. My room was a bit noisy, due to street noise, but that was my only negative reaction to it. The price with a package deal was good. The service at the desk was excellent.

The hotel was amazing and the staff was fantasic. The room was a bit small, however our view overlooked the original Boston City Hall. The staff was incredibly attentive, our room was clean, and they were always willing to give directions, grab a cab, or find a place for us to eat or visit. The location is amazing, its right on the Freedom Trail, we were able to walk to pretty much everywhere we wanted to visit. Highly reccommended!

Wonderful hotel full of history on it's own. Typical east coast small rooms but well apointed and comfortable (DO NOT expect a room much bigger then the bed and desk). Super helpfull staff, I was at the train station (south station) coming in from Maine and needed to know what sub-way line to use so I called the hotel and the front desk gave me very clear easy directions. Plus the hotel like RIGHT by the sub-way stops in Boston Common. I would stay at this hotel again 100% it was wonderful. Location location location!
Extremely Dissappointed

The location was great, but the hotel was overpriced and didn't offer any amenities. For almost $* a night we expect at least a decent sized room. What we recieved is full size bed (for me, my 6'3 husband and our 3 mo. old baby!), a bathroom not big enought for us to both brush our teeth at the same time and the room service was horrible. The boston cream pie was supposedly invented there so we had to try it. Two (very) small pieces cost us $25 and was worse than your average supermarket sells. We had breakfast the next morning (for $60) and it was cold and greasy. If you stay here don't eat here! Besides that there were no amenities, not even Wi-Fi in the rooms and parking is an extra $40 bucks per night (plus tips for the valets). I felt like we shelled out alot of money to stay in a closet sized room where my husband couldn't even sleep with his feet on the bed.
