I stayed here for one night for a quick trip with my 2 kids. The room was a standard outside-access motel room, but very clean and presentable and everything worked! There was a mini-fridge (also microwave), which was handy.
The best part was the setting and the pool. There are actually two pools, although one was closed for repair, and it was comfortably heated. Also, the hot tub was great. There is very easy beach access--just across a short boardwalk--and the whole trip was lovely and relaxing.
Breakfast was standard hotel fare, but watch the expiration dates on the milk - some were past date. (And it was not just a fluke, because we got sour milk also on a previous stay.) However, the breakfast room is on the second floor of a round tower, with beautiful views of the ocean. It's a nice way to start the day.
Front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating.
I recommend the pedal-car vendor (we used a six-seater for the 3 of us) located on the grounds; for $30 we got 2 hours, enough to meander around the island to our hearts' content.
Pleasant stay - we will be back!
Nice place to stay.

Nice clean hotel, nice breakfast, really nice beach!! Love Jekyll Island!!! Hotel staff overly anxious to clean room, we went to breakfast and came back to our room on our day of check out before we actually checked out, and the housekeeping staff had threw away our cooler and food for our road trip back home.
Incredible Location - Very Satisfied!!

My husband and I stayed this past week from Monday afternoon (August 25th) and checked out Thursday (August 28th). I haven't been to Jekyll Island in about 34 years since my parents took me when I was a child but we wanted a short vacation on the beach so we decided to go there. We were so glad we chose this hotel. Its at the end of the strip so the beach was even more secluded than they already are so you could walk for miles it seemed like to find shells or to enjoy the beauty. We decided on a regular room facing the ocean and it was on the second floor. I highly recommend getting a room on the second floor if you want to sit outside your room and be able to see the ocean. The rooms it seemed to me were smaller than other hotels I have stayed at, but for what little time we were in the room it was great! The bathroom sink is right outside the bathroom and there is no vanity to lay your bath items on, but if all you want to do is to shower and sleep and change clothes, this room is perfect! We were never in the room - we were out on the beach or pool or sight seeing on the island. The staff is excellent! Very friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help you with anything if you ask. I saw the staff clean the pool and wipe down all the chairs every day. The rooms very clean. We had more than enough towels. The room comes with a microwave, refrigerator, and ironing board which was nice. The only thing the room didn't have was a small table. Will Stay Again!

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and child. We had a great time. The beach is terrific. There are many sand dollars on the beach, both alive and dead, as well as conches, both alive and dead and we enjoyed combing the beach for shells. The beach is wide and there is plenty of space at both high and low tide. The waves were nice for body surfing and not so high as to frighten my kid. Because of the shells both my kid and I got small cuts on our feet while swimming, so you may want to bring your water shoes for swimming in the ocean.
The room was nice. The staff was very polite. Our ocean-view room was on the first floor, so because of the height of the dunes, we didn't really have a view of the ocean. The first floor ocean view rooms should be considered dune-view, but we didn't care. The free breakfast was nice and allowed us to hit the beach right away everyday.
Best Days Inn ever!

Very impressed when we pulled up , you never know what to expect, This hotel was originally built in the 60s ,so it was modern for its time , rooms a little unusual, sink outside BR, big windows ,we were on back side 2nd floor, very quiet,, , the surprise is the breakfast room ,on 2nd floor with beautiful view of ocean sunrise!!, the choices are great, 6am-10, bagels, waffles, fruit, cereal ,yogart, toast, oatmeal juice , milk, coffee and muffins, very clean, walk 2 min to uncrowded beach, bike rentals on property but 3 min down st. cheaper , ,we only paid 79./night last wk of April, h20 a little cool but weather was in 70 's , historic district very nice, we walked around but you can take a tram $ , very nice island!!
