The layout of the place was nice; there was a living room with a gas powered fireplace that was very romantic even in the summer. The screened-in back porch with a downdraft grill/stove was great and made cooking out there very nice. The second bedroom was a little small and it had two twins in it. It would have been nice to have the option of queens in both bedrooms. There is not much yard, but sufficient for the resort. The on-site golf course looked very nice, though it cost around $70 per person per 18 holes. The only other small inconvenience was that the main activities building was clear on the other side of the property so you had to take a car to get there. That made it real inconvenient to participate in any of the resort activities.
Overall, it was nice and very convenient to access all of the Dell's many sights and activities. I had a friend stay at the cabins at Christmas Mountain Village, which are smaller than the timbers, but her unit was much nicer than ours that is for sure.

The resort itself was very clean and well maintained. Many times we noticed the grounds keepers picking up any little piece of paper, as they drove around.
As for the unit itself (a cabin), it was also very clean. It was described as small and for many timeshares that probably would be true, but
for 2 adults and three teens we stayed very comfortably. There were a few small things that needed tightening, etc. but very minor. When we did call maintenance for a broken toilet seat and to get rid of a wasp nest, they were there within 10 minutes and took care of the problem the first time.
Our cabin was a short 60 yards or so from one of the 4 outdoor pools at this resort, which my wife especially enjoyed. They have many activities at this resort (27 holes of golf, downhill skiing in winter, 3 tennis courts, miniature golf, basketball, etc.). They also have daily activities but they do seem to be geared more toward younger children. There is a restaurant on site, but we did not use it. I hear they have good food but a little pricey.
The resort is a short 10 minutes to downtown WI Dells, where you can find numerous water
parks, shops, and dining. Our teens especially enjoyed the go carting and bungee jumping. Also very convenient is the super Wal-Mart. About 5 minutes from Christmas Mountain, you will find all your groceries and any other supplies you may need for your vacation.
We had a perfect vacation at a great resort, and I would recommend it for anyone. I think it's a great resort to bring the family, and if you're into golfing or downhill skiing, it's all here.

The golfing is unbelievable, the best that we've found in the Midwest yet. The children love the kids' activities. We had our faces painted and made tie-dyed T-shirts, along with many other fun things. Make sure you take a trip to town to see them make homemade fudge and shop in some of the fun stores. We will go back year after year.
