musty and disgusting

One word discribes this place...YUCK!! I will NEVER stay here again! The room was musty and dark. Didn't even have a fitted sheet over the mattress, just a flat sheet over the mattress that kept falling off. I could not sleep well due to the smell and the noise of the surrounding rooms. We didn't even shower in the am, just took off for home! That is how gross it was! My advise, spend a little more to stay in the Cedar Point area, at least you might SLEEP!! Oh yea..did I mention the bug bites my fiance and I woke up with? GROSS!
you get what you pay for..

My boyfriend and I were planning a trip to cedar point, and were looking for a inexpensive place to stay for three nights, and looked for extras that the hotel had to offer that would be benifical. All we wanted was a clean environment, a safe environment, and a shuttle to cedar point. Well it was somewhat sanitary, with an exception for the bathrooms which were not really up to par. Words straight out of the hotel clerks mouth about some of the rooms were that they were "musty and mildewy". The hotel itself felt almost shady, the hallway lights are off until nightfall, but there are no windows so we still get a dark and uncomfortable vibe. Lighting in the room was horrible, and most of the bulbs in our room were burnt out. I went to the clerk asking for schedule times for when the shuttle to ceder point would arrive, and I was informed that they no longer offer a shuttle bus, and havent for a while. I wish that the online travel website would have known that. Although the hotel was not what we hoped, its a good place for college students to crash for a night or two, for it does have a bed and bathroom. I wouldnt go here again, but looking at how much I paid, I cant complain too much. Bottom line is, you are getting the best deal as far as the price, but not the quality.

My family had reservations for two rooms. My mother is in a wheelchair and I had talked with the front desk clerk to specifically request a first floor room for her and my father. When we arrived,however, there was no first floor room available. The request had been lost. Also, it was "Bike Week" in Sandusky and there was limited space at the inn.
Thank goodness the front desk manager. She made a quick call to the Comfort Inn across the road, found us a first floor handicapped room, made all the arrangements, and we were quickly settled into our new accommodations. Hats off to the manager for being so helpful, so accommodating and so apologetic. The apologies were unnecessary. She made the best of the situation and we were all happy with the outcome.
