Good for what we paid for

I know the reviews for this hotel are not great, but I'll share my recent experience with this location. Check in and check out were very fast, the people at the front desk were very nice, and the free breakfast was simple but very convenient. I was traveling with my boyfriend and his roommate and his girlfriend, all college students staying for 2 nights to go to cedar point. We only paid like * per nigh which was great since we were on a budget. The first two rooms they assigned us were awful! They smelled, they had dead bugs everywhere, and were just not livable. We decided to go to the front desk and request to be moved to rooms in the building where you enter the rooms from inside from a hallway. These were so much better! They did not smell, the carpet looked almost brand new, and the bedding was new too. You could tell that maybe they were doing some updating. Had the desk not been so nice and let us switch, we would have switched hotels for sure. But our stay was fine and if I would get the same price and an inside entrance room, I would stay there again. Other than that, I would have gone up the street to one of the other hotels. It is in a good location, and was fine for what we needed it for. Just know that it's very basic and hit or miss.
