Very Nice Stay

Our first time in Miami was memorable due to this beautiful hotel and its wonderful staff. The concierge was especially helpful. We were really impressed that we had rental cars available right there at the hotel for a fraction of the cost of a taxi or a shuttle to/from the Port of Miami. We were too tired to travel around the night we arrived, so we dined at the hotel restaurant and the food was very good, although a bit pricey. Overall, our stay at the Sofitel was very nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was comfortable and clean; service was excellent and the staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgible.

Beautiful room and hotel grounds. Some guest services need reforming, though. Example: although you're not informed at the time of booking, you are required to pay for the privilege of each day of parking at this hotel, which is a separate additional fee from your room charges. Also, the room service food menu is very limited and exorbitantly overpriced.

"For such a highly rated location I was disappointed with the service and overall experience here. The concierge was never present. The front desk clerks were rushed and unable to give personalized service. However, I'd like to note that the bellmen and cleaning staff were always pleasant and helpful. The room was nice, but I've had about the same quality and spent half the price. The bathroom was badly vented and there was no mini-bar or refrigerator. ( A space was left empty that was designed for it.)This hotel would have been worth it if it had cost less. "
