would never stay here again

Checked in but did not stay. I have stayed at a lot of Fairfield Inns and this was more like a Bad Motel 6. The room was small and had very old and worn furniture. There was no closet and the ironing board was handging on the door. It had OUTSIDE facing rooms. Our rooms TV and telephone did not work. To its benefit they did come and try and fix the TV and did get new phone. But it was just too much to know that I would have to stay a whole weekend at this place. It was just too depressing.

Positive experience

We went there to see my son come in to Ft. Bragg from Afghanistan. All the staff in the hotel were wonderful. They always had a greeting for us and a smile. After all the families coming and going, I sure it was stressful for them. From the desk clerks, to the housekeepers, to the maintenance men, they always were friendly and pleasant. The room was clean and had most everything we needed in it. The location was great. We were right at the mall and just down the street to numerous stores and restaurants. The base was easy to get to. The city itself is not the best, but this hotel was in a very good location and I felt safe there. I saw security walking around at night. Overall, it was a very good stay.

Encountered large roaches at this property. Hotel manager advised this is normal for this area in summer. I advised manager that a good pest control company could resolve the problem. Management appeared unconcerned.

The room was average size, the bathroom was small, but the AC worked wonderfully and the front desk was friendly. For internet access all they had was a laptop in the main room which you had to get the desk person to put in a password. It didn't have a mouse so I got frustrated cause I'm not used to laptops. Not too difficult to find easiest way is to just follow the mall around. Smoky Bones is very close and Lone Star is accross the street. I would stay here again.

Not a bad stay.

It was a very clean hotel - a priority for me, though asked for a N/S rm but still smelled it in the bathroom late @night from the vent, but very close to everything. Price-wise - a litte too high, very standard, however, can't ever pay too much for cleanliness.
