Quality for a decent price.

For a last minute trip to the beach this hotel did just find. It is not a 5 star hotel but if you want something that is decently priced and close enough to any of the local beaches or downtown Wilmington this hotel is just fine. They do everything well enough to make the stay pleasurable. The best is the continental breakfast, the lady that helps serve it was great with the kids. They had spilt something and not only did she clean it, she got them more. She also cut an apple into slices for them. The pool was clean not the biggest but big enough for the kids. Plenty of restuarants around. Overall the stay was nice we would stay there again when we go back and that is what matters.
Great experience, would definitely go back!

For years we have considered staying at this hotel but were apprehensive because it was not a national chain. This trip to Wilmington we decided to give them a try as it's very close to my parent's home. What a nice surprise. The room was nice and clean. The staff was more than helpful. They fixed the handle on the toilet that broke while the kids enjoyed the indoor pool, which they really enjoyed. The breakfast was very simple but suffcient. The first day my 8 year old asked them if they had plain bread, which they did not. The next day they made sure they let him know that they had bought some bread especially for him. Now that's southern hospitality. Overall we had a good stay and would definitely stay there on future visits to Wilmington.

Central to good restaurants and grocery stores. 10 minutes from most major beaches. Rooms were clean but somewhat cramped. Staff friendly and very responsive. Gas barbecue next to pool was very convenient for saving on meals. If you can't afford $* a night to stay right on the beach, this is a very good alternative. I would stay there again.

I booked a "Suite" under the impression that it was 2 rooms but, the only difference is that the suite has a jacuzzi and the standard room does not. The bathroom door was so warped that it would not completely close. The bath tub was so filthy I didn't take a shower and the hotel staff didn't really seem to care that I was not happy. I DO NOT recommend this hotel!
