Good for what we needed it for

We stayed here for 1.5 days to rest before a LONG flight back to Australia. I wouldn't stay here as a vacation destination, but for me flying with a very long distance with a 3 year it definitely suited our needs. It was so cheap that we booked 2 days, and just checked out at 9 pm for our midnight flight to Melbourne.
The Pros: inexpensive, friendly staff (someone even carried my suitcase up the stairs for me!), great location, fast and easy shuttle, Denny's next door, clean, free Wifi
The Cons: probably the shabbiest motel I've ever stayed in- lots of rotting wood frames, peeling wall paper, terrible lighting, especially in the bathroom etc.

This hotel was very unclean and had the roaches to prove it. No discount or refund was given upon telling the staff. If you plan to stay here, plan on a liitle company in your sheets. Close to the aiport, but so are a ton of cleaner hotels on that same street.

This place is a piece of crap! We reserved a non-smoking room but got a smoking room that felt moist and smelt nasty! We stayed on the bottom level with a sliding glass door to the pool but the whole frame was separating from the glass! the beds were 100 years old as well as the linen on the beds. The bathroom was even worse, the lighting was awful and I even wore sandals in the shower cause it was so disgusting. At 6am there were people eating right outside our door, it was like that was were the hotel had as a designated eating area. Very annoying! I would rather stay at the La Quinta in for $20 more just 100 fee from this hotel. AWFUL!

Upon arriving at LAX, I tried to call the Travelodge number on my contract. No one answered. Luckily I saw the shuttle bus and waived him over to pick us up. Was not impressed with the room. Had a heavy soapy odor. The complimentary continental breakfast was nothing to brag about. Needless to say, we were happy to leave the next morning. The one positive was, that we were dropped right by our rental car location. The driver earned his tip.

We stayed here one night out of desperation and sheer exhaustion and what a nightmare! The staff was very indeferent, they put us in the back of the maze-like motel, and we had to drag our bags up to the second floor because there was no elevator. We got lost several times because of the confusing room numbers and we had to park in an alley where we were afraid of getting robbed and carjacked. If this property represents LA then I never want to come to LA again.
