Great Hotel

Stayed at this place on a short notice. The front staff was outstanding and exceptional in every capacity. They straightened out a reservation that got messed up a bit from the corporate phone center. They were sold out for the second night but held a room as soon as a cancellation appeared and we didn't even have to change rooms! The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, the AC cold, the rates lower than the hotel across the street, and the small walk (1/3-1/2 of a 'regular' block) to the beach was only about 60 yards. The continental breakfast had much more than the standard continental fare (including hard boiled eggs) and name brand coffees and juices were available. Not a corner cut. Just a GREAT VALUE for any beach let alone a Florida beach. Will definitely stay there again and have already told friends what an outstanding place. Others may complain about the pool area being small but who cares about a pool when the beach was great, clean, uncrowded and the perfect temperature to spend 4 hours in the blink of an eye! Dining around town wasn't even 'overdone' or too commercialized. And I have to agree, the Publix across A1A is even another reason to love this place as the suite had a full size refrigerator (clean), a stove, a fuller size sink (with washing and cleaning supplies), and a microwave! If I sound like a happy camper, it is because it was the best value of the 3 hotels that I stayed at on this trip - the other 2 even cost more money per night in Orlando.

Friendly, helpful workers; wonderful breakfasts with fresh fruits, location close to Kennedy Space Center and shuttle launch viewings, beach and pier within walking distance, clean, spacious, and well-stocked rooms.
Just a room

Their "two queen beds" are actually two double beds. Big difference. Nice to have the mini fridge and microwave and the proximity to the beach (about a block away) is good. But the hotel is older and rooms are small, hence the lower price. Second floor rooms, with balconies, may be nicer than the ground floor room we had. The beds were comfortable although small.

The hotel is in a perfect location, close to the pier and shopping. Motel is within walking distance to several very nice resturants and also within one block of the ocean. Rooms were very comfortable and clean, the cleaning service was very efficient. Rooms were quiet, very seldom heard any noise from other rooms. Motel staff was very friendly. I would stay here again if given the opportunity.
It was just a room.

It was just a place to sleep, nothing special. The "pier" was overated.
