Quote: The Hotel is young and hip though I'm not. Unless you count bad hips; then I have two. The cocktail servers did like old guys who tip well, but the desk did not seem very knowledgeable on any thing outside their age range. If you walk to the Staples... Quote: Supposedly sleek and trendy...more like shabby and cheap! Furniture was cheesy and IKEA-esque. Low bed (on an elevated platform) with a TV on a low shelf--couldn't even see the TV! My husband and I are in our late 20s/early 30s and enjoy getting the... Read the full The Standard Downtown La review

Quote: this joint was really cool! It was very LA! The staff was outstanding, super nice, especially the servers in the diner-- they made sure my coffee cup was always full each morning!! The bathtub is enormous AND they have mr bubble! this place was... Read the full The Standard Downtown La review

Trendy hotel but there isn't much in the area during the weekend so you must rent a car

Quote: There are hardly any charis by th pool, and there is a great pool party w/DJ's etc. however, it is terrible that they make hotel guests who have been at the pool since early morning, evacuate and go downstairs to get a wrist band for the party and... Quote: I really liked this hotel for the modern feel. I am always down to experience new and interesting places and this one definitely one of those. I really liked the bar up top, had a very nice view of down town. Real relaxed feel and fun hotel. the... Read the full The Standard Downtown La review

Provided a great overall experience.

Quote: The atmosphere was beyond anything we expected. A great location for all the surrounding attractions. The Rooftop was the cherry on top of the whole stay providing music and we never felt the need to go anywhere else to enjoy the nightlife.

Quote: The good: Outstanding downtown location, reasonably priced. The restaurant was above average and also reasonably priced. It's attractive enough, with its modern, minimalist decor. The room style may not be for everyone--a square with a platform... Read the full The Standard Downtown La review

Adequate, but please fix the drip! The location was why I stayed there.

Quote: I'll start off by saying I stayed here because the location was across the street from where I was working for the week. I didn't take advantage of any of the onsite amenities, so I can't comment on them. My room was clean and simple. I like the... Read the full The Standard Downtown La review

Quote: My husband and i had wonderful stay. This hotel made us feel welcome. We spent 8 days in LA. The amenities was great. We loved the roof top pool and parties. The only draw back was the parking it was too expensive we thought it was free until after... Read the full The Standard Downtown La review

Quote: Booked a room to surprise my husband when he flew into LAX. It was pretty cool. The bathroom walls were plexi-glass so you can watch someone shower from the bed.. hmmmm... fun times! There is a pool/bar/lounge on the rooftop which is why I booked... Read the full The Standard Downtown La review
