Friendly staff, clean lobby and rooms. We had a room with a view of the wharf - it was great. I recommend if anyone stays there request a room on the wharf side. When we were in our room we people watched - fascinating! Continental breakfast was just what we needed after a long day and night. Can't wait to go back!

Enjoyed our stay!

The only problem we had was that the internet was NOT wireless so we had to take turns using the internet in the evenings.

Great location with teens

I was pleasantly surprised to have a perfect view of Alcatraz island from our 4th floor window. Although the room and bathroom were modestly sized, we really appreciated having a small fridge and microwave in the room. This helped save time and money for us. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Having teens, I also appreciated the complimentary breakfast, although there were crowds for the buffett breakfast all times every morning. We liked having some bacon, cereal and coffee each morning before we left the hotel. If you sign up for their frequent traveler program, you get a free morning paper delivered to your door. The location of the hotel is PERFECT if you have kids. It was just a couple of blocks to Fisherman's Whaf, the base of the Hyde/Powell cable car line, Ghiradelli square, etc. We went to the cable car at 9am on Sunday and didn't have any line getting on. I recommend purchasing an all day Muni pass otherwise the cable cars are $5 per ride! I also recommend purchasing a sightseeing tour - it really helped us to find our way around and to see things that we otherwise wouldn't have seen. We purchased a Wharf Pass through online travel web site - it was an okay deal, except the main part of the Aquarium was closed so I ended up paying $20 per person to look at three fishtanks in one room - that was unfortunate.

I stayed here for 6 nights recently. The hotel location is great walking distance to the Fisherman's Wharf and public transportation accessible. The registration crew is exceptional, my room is adequate and the free breakfast is a bonus. I will stay there again if I am in San Francisco

Watch out for parking fee

The hotel was fine in all aspects, however, the unadvertised daily parking fee of $41 was hard to take.
