This resort is actually about 7 miles from downtown Sedona. It is very close to the outlets and located right next to the Hilton. In fact, you have access to the Hilton pools and exercise facilities.
The kitchen was large enough for everyone to help prepare dinner, and the dining table seated four comfortably. The family room had a fold-out sofa, two chairs, a fireplace, and a DVD player. It also had a sliding glass door that opened to a patio. The bathroom had a large tub with jets and a separate shower (only one sink). This unit also had a stackable washer/dryer. Our unit looked out onto the golf course.
The reception center has two computers with Internet access and a printer. They also had complimentary coffee and tea 24 hours a day!
The resort has a small game room with a pool table and an area to borrow games, puzzles, and books. They also have organized activities.
The only thing I could find "wrong" with the resort is if you ended up with a unit facing the parking lot, you would be contending with the lights and noise from the cars coming and going.

Chimney Rock -- one of Sedona's gorgeous BIG RED ROCKS -- is just a few miles from the resort, and there's a beautiful hiking trail here -- at least one, maybe more!
Sedona has a beautiful church up the highway from the resort, too -- Christ Lutheran -- where we found very friendly people, as well as a wonderful service on Sunday morning!
The Recreation Center at the adjacent Hilton is for your use when you're at The Ridge. The tennis facilities are great -- there's even an automatic tennis machine!Best Things About the Resort:Besides the beautiful two-bedroom, townhouse-style unit, the resort has countless activities for guests to participate in.
The singer/pianist Dick Curtis performs at the resort weekly. He performs during "Fiesta Night," while you're eating tacos and nachos -- after which you can play bingo for one hour. This gentleman is quite the entertainer!
The Pampered Chef also has a program one afternoon -- it is fun, as well as very informative! There are many classes one can take, such as silk painting and copper creations! There is never a dull moment at Sunterra's The Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort! Resort Experience:It's a very relaxing place to be on vacation -- the scenery is spectacular, and you can be as busy with activities as you want. It is YOUR WORLD, as Sunterra likes to say! That is so true!
Our two-bedroom unit was completely furnished with everything we needed for the week. It was very tastefully decorated throughout! Parking is right in front of the unit, and we were very pleased with this aspect of our week here as well.
