These are nicely appointed units, and they're well-maintained. Gorgeous views over the valley and out to the red rocks -- especially at sunset. It's great to be able to grill something (gas grills) and then sit out on the balcony with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.

The wonderful helpful staff!! Having a three- year-old along with us, the activity staff always had something for the littlest kids to do!

The resort is just wonderful!! Our unit was overlooking the golf resort, with wonderful greenery views, spectacular spacious units, and a whirlpool tub that made the aches and pains of 18-plus-hole day whisk right away. We were definitely impressed!!

Resort Experience:
ON ARRIVAL INTO SEDONA, THE FIRST THING WE NOTICED WAS THE CONTRAST OF THE RED "BELL" ROCK FORMATION AGAINST THE BLUEST SKY.AND PLUSH GREEN LAWNS SURROUNDED THE TIMESHARE RESORT WHICH WAS SET NEXT TO A TOP RATED GOLF COURSE.THE EVER CHANGING COLORS OF THE ROCKS FROM DEEPEST RED TO COFFEE BROWN DEPENDING ON THE DIRECTION OF THE SUN WAS AWESOME. WE HAD SEVERAL OF THESE PHOTOS ENLARGED AND THEY CONTINUE TO BE A CONVERSATION PIECE.

THE SEDONA COMMUNITY HOSTS MANY ARTISTS. IT CAN BE A SERENE SETTING FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO RELAX OR IT CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH NUMEROUS ACTIVITIES. WE ENJOYED GOLFING AND DRIVING TO SEVERAL ROCK FORMATIONS. DURING THE EVENING WE ATE AT MANY OF THE LOCAL RESTAURANTS AND WATCHED THE SETTING SUN IN THIS BEAUTIFUL LOCATION.

TOURING GRAND CANYON WAS A DEFINITE MUST. WE VISITED THE HOPI AND NAVAJO TRIBES IN THEIR PRIMITIVE SETTINGS.OUR TOUR GUIDE, A NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN, PERFORMED SEVERAL RITUALS ON THE SACRED LANDS WHICH BROUGHT US BACK IN TIME.THE ANCIENT BURIAL GROUNDS WERE HIGHLY RESPECTED BY ALL PARTICIPANTS.WE HAD VERY FEW MOMENTS OF REST AS THERE WERE SO MANY THINGS TO DO AND SEE.

WITHIN A FEW MINUTES DRIVE FROM OUR RESORT A SPANISH VILLAGE, TLAQUEPAQUE, PROVIDED US WITH NUMEROUS SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS. A LITTLE FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD WE FOUND ANOTHER LITTLE COMMUNITY COWBOY STYLE THIS TIME. HERE THE CUISINE INCLUDED CHILI, SNAKE BITES (SIMILIAR TO CHICKEN TENDERS)AND TEX-MEX FOODS.IT DEFINITELY WAS A FUN PLACE FOR THE YOUNGER CROWD.

A GREAT PLACE TO VISIT JUST BEYOND THIS LITTLE AREA WAS THE SLIDE ROCK STATE PARK. A NARROW RIVER WINDS THROUGH THIS PARK WHICH IS PART OF OAK CREEK CANYON. HERE WE WATCHED YOUNGTERS SLIDING DOWN THE SMOOTH NATURAL ROCK SLIDES.AS YOU CAN SEE THE WEEK ENDED ALL TOO SOON FOR OUR MANY EXPERIENCES.IT WAS TIME TO PACK FOR OUR FLIGHT HOME AND TO SAY GOOD-BYE TO THE CALLS OF THE COYOTES.

Clean, friendly and affordable at $10 for a double. Although the manager, Abdullah, was pretty keen on getting as much money out of us as he could. Nothing unfair, just useful "extras" such as breakfast ($2 per person), and $10 microbus trips to sites (Dead Cities, Crac de Chevaliers, Apamea). Well worth it, as it would have taken considerable trouble to get to these places otherwise.

The Riad's direct competition is the Cairo right next door, which is probably just as good. We did not see many other accomodation options in Hama apart from these, so it might be a good idea to make reservations.
