Not that impressed. Only 1 bank of elevators (4 total) and not all of them worked at all of the time. On one occassion, we ended up waiting 10 minutes to get down from the 9th floor. Also, taking the steps were not allowed (you couldn't get off on any of the floors). We were there for our daughter's dance competition and when everyone was done, there would be a long line to use the elevators. Big pain!
The rooms were nice. A little outdated, but they tried to make them look up-to-date.
However, the service was great! And it is within excellent walking distance to many of the attractions near South Lake Tahoe.

We took off for an overnight trip to South Lake Tahoe on Saturday. We had never stayed at Mont Bleu before, so we thought we would give it a shot. Not exactly a 4 star, they claim it is, but it worked for a short get away. After dinner, some games, and a few drinks, we headed up to our room. Threw our stuff down and decided to grab a bucket of ice for the drinks we had in our room. Much to our surprise the deadbolt was engaged and would not open. After messing with it for a few minutes we called for help. They sent an engineer, or so they call the guy with a screwdriver that works weekends in the middle of the night.
Apparently we are not as dumb as they assumed. They surprisingly admitted that, no, the door would not unlock. Anyways, they called reinforcements. Many people were working in the hall to get us out. 2 hours later, a combination of screwdrivers, hammers, a crowbar (not kidding), the sawzal was the tool that finally CUT US OUT OF OUR ROOM.
Wow. Talk about buzz kill. There is nothing worse than 2 hours of banging and cutting to let us out our room that kills a "romantic evening". Needless to say, I got our room comp'ed, and we go down in history as being the only couple to have ever been locked in that hotel from the inside that needed to be cut out with a saw.

We stayed there during the winter season, didn't do any casino activities but spent all our time on the slopes in the nearby world class ski resorts ((Heavenly, Sierra, etc). We were too tired to do anything by the time we got back from snowboarding all day, so just hang out in the hotel. The hotel has nice buffet restaurant, nice indoor pool and jacuzzi, and night clubs. We didn't have to go anywhere, got dinner, relaxed by the pool and back on the slope again the following day!! The room had upgraded beds, large bathroom. It was spacious and very comfortable.
