I have stayed here 4 nights a week every week for two months so far, as a traveling nurse and the service is great, my bed is always made when I get back in the evening the room doesn't smell like deodorizer, everything works like it's supposed too. I have the fridge and microwave and they are handy, in the morining there is orange juice , coffee and pastries for breakfast. Althought the TV does not have many channels avilable I bring along a DVD player and rent movies usually anyway. The price for what you get is outstanding, I stayed at many other motels before I found the GOOD NITE INN "SALINAS" and wish I hadn't wasted so much money on the name brand motels. I love it here and will continue to return until my assignment is completed.

The hotel looked okay from the hwy. The closer you got, the worse it was. The room was not clean and the bathroom had "STUFF" growing in the cracks. Maid service...what service??! The beds were not made and no towels were left. I had to go to the front desk to get towels. The check in process was slow and the clerk acted as if he had no clue as to what he was doing. There is no hair dryer or iron in the room. Internet service is provided for an extra charge. If you plan to be in the area, do yourself a favor by not even passing by this travesty called a hotel
Didn't Even Get the Chance to Stay There

Booked for a last minute weekend trip and called to confirm it would be a non-smoking room.
I was put on hold --and hung up on.
I was put on hold again--and hung up on again.
I called back a third time and finally got through only to have a very rude person on the other end tell me that the reservation cannot be valid because they're completely booked. When I asked how long they'd been booked for, they dodged the question and replied that I should call travel website. I asked again and they said for a week they've been booked.
I don't believe this for a moment, considering I've read other reviews with them saying they're "fully booked" yet the parking lot was empty morning-noon-night.
This was completely unacceptable customer service on their part.
Travel website refunded my reservation and gave me a discount for next time. I'm a very patient person, but I will NEVER try for this hotel again, no matter HOW good the price is.

The room was clean no problem there, but no remote for the TV and after getting it had to up to the office twice for them to program it. Phone didn't work, stopped at the office going to go eat dinner opps they forgot to turn it on when we checked in, came back from dinner, phone still didn't work, went back up to the office, couldn't understand why it wasn't working on the 3rd trip to the office was told at this time that there was a $10.00 fee, ok no problem paid the $10.00 back to the room, phone still not working, 4th trip to the office to get the phone working, the would try and see what was wrong. phone rang once after about 30 minutes, and was told that maintenance was going to check into it. 5th time talking to the office about the phone, sorry don't know whats wrong...... I feel that I should of been told when I checked in that they would need to turn the phone on and if I wanted that service I needed to give them a $10.00 fee. Would stay again but this was uncalled for me to walk to the office so many times.

Had all necessities, and no frills. Clean, close to freeway, easy access, pool, and simple continental breakfast included. Easy check in/check out. Nothing fancy, just a simple place to get a good night's rest.
