Very Nice Hotel

We only stayed one night here and had to attend a surprise party at another hotel. The Crowne Plaza had transportation to and from the airport and also to the Mall of America...and it was free. They even shuttled us to and from the hotel that the party was in. All of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle drivers were great also. The room was roomy and the flat screen TV was a surprise, even though we didn't watch it much. The only drawback was the bathroom. It was a little small and the toilet was almost aganst the wall. Still, I would recommend this hotel. It had several amenities that we didn't use such as a swimming pool and a gym. WIFI is also available and there are computers for guest use. If I ever get back to Minneapolis, I would stay here.

I stayed here for a business trip I had to take. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I got picked up by the hotel shuttle and the driver even checked with the front desk for me whether my room was ready (since I arrived before the official check in time). He also arranged for my taxi ride since I was on the way to the convention center. I was all set to go right there on the shuttle. The place looked great, freshly painted and very clean. A couple of bonuses was the Starbuck's coffee in the reception area in the mornings and the free shuttle to the MOA.

A very nice hotel. Location is relatively close and convenient to major attractions around MoA. The hotel seems to have undergone a recent remodel and everything is clean with contemporary styling. Room was of average size but with nice amenities (large flat screen and CD player). Good insulation blocked out almost all noise other than some stomping from the room above (during daylight hours).
Fitness room was small but had very new equipment. Bikes and ellipticals had personalized TVs and the room had free weights. It did, however, lack the variety (there was one) of other weight machines expected.
There were only two minor complaints: the whirlpool/spa was not functional during my visit (however the sauna and pool were both very nice) and I specifically requested a room away from the ice machine and elevator and was give the room (you guessed it) right across from the elevator and ice machine. Still, there was no noticable noise from the hall so it worked out.
It was a very pleasant stay for the price and I will definitely stay there again on future trips.

Overall, our experience at this hotel was extremely satisfying. We were helped promptly upon arrival and had no problems with the room. The big screen TV was awesome! I think the hotel needs to update its decor -- the hallway colors are pretty ugly and dingy looking. It looks like the Crowne Plaza took over an older hotel and has not yet updated its decor. But the room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. We ate in the dining room every morning of our stay -- the breakfast buffet was okay, better than some, not as good as other places we have stayed, but decent if a little pricey. The location is good -- adjacent to several major roadways, but no discernible road noise. This was a good place to stay and we would definitely stay here again.

I never write reviews but was so pleased with my stay at the Crown Plaza that I feel compelled to write one. The room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the nice TV was also noteworthy. The shuttle drivers were very accomodating. The only thing I was lukewarm about was the breakfast. It wasn't bad, but I would have preferred some smaller menu items.
The staff was friendly, and the hotel was very clean and nice. I've been to Bloomington 4 times and I know where I will stay the next time I visit. It was great!!!
